Is Your Board Ready for the Next Five Years?

As a non-profit board president, you carry a lot of responsibility. You help guide the organization, support effective governance, manage risk, strengthen accountability, and prepare the board for future challenges. But many presidents are left asking difficult questions:

  • Is the board ready to deliver on the organization’s strategic priorities?

  • Are a few board members carrying most of the responsibility?

  • If one key person left, would it create a serious knowledge or leadership gap?

  • Are we recruiting new board members based on our future needs - or are we just getting by?

Your board may be filled with committed and experienced people but still have important gaps that impact decision-making, succession planning, financial oversight, committee effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. If you have questions and concerns like above, register for our upcoming webinar designed specifically for all our non-profit board presidents and leaders who are trying to get a clearer understanding of their board’s current capabilities, potential vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.

During the webinar, you will explore practical ways to strengthen board participation, identify priority development areas, improve recruitment decisions, and better board member alignment with your organization’s future direction.

Strengthening Non-Profit Housing Boards with a Skills Matrix

Board Recruitment Skills Matrix Webinar

NBNPHA members need to recruit about 300 new board members as soon as possible. We are developing a strategy to attract and retain future board members around the province. This initiative will be discussed at the Conference.

We need your help to make this happen by learning more about your needs for the right skills and strengths of your future board members. This will be accomplished through a survey to be completed by your board members before early May.
