LATEST RESULTS

Thank you to all members who participated in the October 7, 3 Question Survey. Your responses provide valuable insight into the experiences, practices, and priorities of New Brunswick's non-profit housing sector. Below are the results and key takeaways from last week's survey, highlighting trends and perspectives that help inform future learning, collaboration, and sector support.

How would you rate your organization’s overall relationship with your tenants?

RESULTS BREAKDOWN

The survey results show a strong, positive relationship between the organization and its tenants. Of the 36 respondents, 21 (58.3%) rated the relationship as very good, while another 12 (33.3%) rated it as good. Only 3 respondents (8.3%) felt the relationship was fair, and no respondents rated it as poor or very poor.

These results suggest that the organization has built a solid foundation of positive tenant relationships. Continuing to prioritize open communication, responsiveness, and respectful interactions will help maintain these relationships and address any areas where further improvement may be needed.

How confident are you that tenant concerns and complaints are being addressed appropriately and in a timely manner?

RESULTS BREAKDOWN

Confidence in the handling of tenant concerns and complaints was particularly strong. Of the 36 respondents, 20 (55.6%) said they were very confident that concerns were being addressed appropriately and in a timely manner, while 14 (38.9%) said they were confident. The remaining 2 respondents (5.6%) were somewhat confident, and no respondents expressed a lack of confidence.

This feedback suggests that the organization is doing well in responding to tenant concerns and managing complaints. Maintaining this confidence will depend on continuing to listen to tenants, providing timely updates, and ensuring concerns are followed through to resolution. The responses from those who were somewhat confident also offer an opportunity to identify where communication or follow-up could be strengthened.

How familiar are you with the role of the Tenant-Landlord Relations Office and the support it provides to tenants and landlords?

RESULTS BREAKDOWN

The results indicate that awareness of the Tenant-Landlord Relations Office is an area where further progress could be made. Of the 36 respondents, 5 (13.9%) said they were very familiar with the office, while 15 (41.7%) said they were familiar with its role and services. Another 8 respondents (22.2%) were somewhat familiar, 6 (16.7%) were not very familiar, and 2 (5.6%) were not at all familiar.

While more than half of respondents (55.6%) reported being familiar or very familiar with the office, 44.4% indicated that their knowledge was limited. These findings highlight an opportunity to increase awareness of the office's role, the support it offers, and how tenants and landlords can access its services. Sharing clear, accessible information through the website and other communication channels could help more people understand the resources available to them.
